Is it really worth risking it though when you can just pay £10 at most hairdressers to have a dry cut?!?! My friend is a qualified hairdresser & even she won't cut her own hair! Look round your local hairdressers and find out how much they charge for dry cuts, most charge next to nothing.
If its just your fringe your wanting cut then thats completely different as its so easy to do yourself, even though if you do go to a hairdresser regular they will cut it for free in between cuts. No matter what people say about cutting your hair wet, if you do cut your own fringe do it dry!! If you wet it you'll cut it and when you dry it it will be way shorter than you wanted! If you cut it dry at least you are seeing what it truly looks like

You know... This is not as bad of an idea as some might think. In history, it's only been a short period of time that the majority visits a hair dresser to cut their hair. And, even now... a lot of people still cut their own hair. They probably just don't admitt to it because they're afraid of getting comments like the one above. But, as long as it's not a complicated style, there is no reason why you couldn't cut your own hair. Just remember to always cut it longer than you think you want it. That way you can trim any mistakes later without going too short.

This is such a bad idea it's become an insult: "She looks like she cuts her own hair" is NOT a nice thing to say about someone. PLEASE don't do it. If you're desperate you can just about cut your own fringe, but leave everything else to someone who can see the back of your head!

Don't do it!!!! Seriously, the occasional trim of your fringe to get it out of your eyes is permissable (if absoloutly necessary) but i promise that it will go wrong and you will spend more money getting it put right. Find a salon offering cheap/free cuts with their trainees- it will take a little longer than your usual salon hair cut but you should come away with a good cut as they are always heavily supervised. Don't do it!!! Why bother risking it, you can get a dry cut done cheap enough at most salons, around here it only costs about £7-10 for a dry cut. My friend is a hairdresser & even she won't attempt to cut her own hair.
