If they support a particular charity you could send a donation to it on their behalf in lieu of a gift. You could buy something for their garden e.g. seat, tree, rose bushes (I think there is a rose called Golden Wedding). You could send restaurant vouchers or holiday vouchers for them to treat themselves. If they like whisky or brandy (or similar stuff) you could send a good bottle of whatever they enjoy. Would they enjoy a trip to the theatre? You could send tickets to a show or vouchers for them to spend on a show of their choice....

I don't know the circumstances or any ages but have a picture of you & you're family taken with any siblings if any & put in a nice frame - this doesn't have to be professionally done - ask a friend to help. Do you have any old pics from your childhood which you could frame. This would be good for anybody that's difficult to buy for. xxx
