Ask your married friends or work colleagues who they used. I think personal recommendation beats any adverts. Also go to bridal fairs and seek out different photographers, look at samples of their work. Think about whether you want traditional or something different/modern for your photos? They can be pricey so do ask about costs involved. For my 2nd wedding (!!) my parents paid for the photographer as a wedding gift - he was a company photographer, doing a bit of extra work, perhaps your company has such a person who would be willing to do it, to keep costs down?

I was at a wedding where every person had disposable cameras on their seats, and the bride just asked everyone to take photos of the evening, and when the camera's film are full, throw them in the box provided. You will be supprised as to how many great photos you get. Good luck on the big day!

Ask your local college/uni if any of their final year photography students do private work.

Okay, well, my uncle has a photography business and he is BRILLIANT. His name is Christopher Hill, his email is 'chris@christopherhill.co.uk', his web address is http://www.christopherhill.co.uk. Give it a try. Good luck on the wedding by the way!
