As I think it's a little hypocritical to demonise your fiance for slapping you, when it was in response to your own violence, let's take the slaps out of it. That just leaves his betrayal. There's no way on earth you 'drove' him sleep with another woman. If he's unhappy with you, he shouldn't be engaged to you. As for you, the only reason you should forgive him is if he's truly repentant for his actions, and to be quite frank, he doesn't sound that sorry!
How to justify my fiance slapping me. We'd had a blazing row and he then told me he slept with someone else. I slapped him on the face (I've never done that before), he slapped me back. Weeks later he said I drive him to do things. Was he justified?

Sorry to read about your problem. My answer is NO WAY, HE WASN'T JUSTIFIED!!!! He is a controlling freak; he is just like one of my ex-boyfriends. If he truly loves you, he wouldn't sleep with someone else while you guys are engaged. He is WRONG in the first place. I would slap him as well, although I understand violence can't solve all the problems. He deserves the slap because he makes you angry!!!!! This might be a wake up call: "Should I really marry to HIM (loser who sleeps around and slaps me and put all the blames on me)????" You can do WAY BETTER THAN THIS!!! Dump Him!!!!

you can do way better than that. he is trying to blame you for his mistakes. he needs to grow up and take responsibility, if he loves you he shouldnt have slept with another woman and most certanly slapped you even if you did it to him, he should understand that your angry cause he did do something wrong. and then he tries to blame it on you that your the cause of his mistakes. then why is he with you? more importantly why are you with him? as ive already said you can do waaayyyy better.

You can't justify it. No one makes someone do things, they have to take responsibility for their own actions x

You should not have slapped him in the first place. BUT your action is never an acceptable excuse for him hitting back. Next time his excuse may be that you raiseing your voice drove him to hit you. If it happens again there are many support groups and charities thatyou can speak to without having to give your name about domestic violence. No one should ever be subjected to physical abuse.
