careful application is the answer. first moisturize wlell, and then apply foundation with sponge, brush or fingers, only a little at a time, slowly and carefully. then add a bit more and a bit more until you have the coverage you want. then blot lightly with a tissue. then press on a light coating of translucent powder, followed by blusher, lipstick, mascara etc. the only things that should need re-touching are the blusher and lipstick. if you are in for a really long day, wring out a piece of cotton wool under the cold tap, and pat your face very gently all over after powdering - this will "set" it all well. if you need another light dusting of powder, apply it.

Try using foundation and eyeshadow primer on a clean face. Two foundation/face primers I recommend, Laura Mercier "foundation primer" at http://www.lauramercier.com/ and Trish McEvoy "Even Skin Face Primer". There are several good eyeshadow primers, Trish McEvoy "Eye Base Essentials" (frankly I often use just this with mascara!), Clinique "ouch Base for Eyes" and many others. Once you apply, set with poweder (mineral power often works well because it's non-irritating and works as a sunscreen). Lip stains reduce the frequency of touch-ups, but I haven't found one that lasts all day. Note -- the less make-up you wear, the better it wears over the course of a day, so don't cake it on!

Just use the make-up sealer! E.g.: She Laq by Benefit! Here's the link: http://www.benefitcosmetics.com/gp/product/B000G6O036/ref=sr_11_1/102-6119141-4331328?ie=UTF8&bcBrand=core&nodeID=APS

for my eyebrows, I spray an eyebrow brush with hair spray, then brush your brow hairs up then to the side.
