if you are a make-up freak like me, and have more than one of most things, ie lipsticks, firstly sort them all into like with like, ie all eyeshadows together, all mascaras together etc etc. then find boxes or lids of boxes or other receptacles the right size. i use old soap boxes, perspex boxes from Muji, boxes which cosmetics came in etc etc. if you cannot find one the right size, take your tape measure with you to the supermarket and buy some tomatoes or something in a container of the right size!!
this way your dressing-table or bathroom where you keep your make-up stays tidy.
