Ideally before you dye your hair you would cover your hair line in Vaseline to stop it from being stained. If you're anything like me though, you MAY either forget or won't be bothered. If you dab a stain with left over hair dye and wipe it off, all the solvents and alcohol in it will remove the stain. That's the easiest way, but if you don't have any left try a bit of alcohol (and moisturise afterwards!).

Lemon cordial works very well for removing dye stains. Dip cotton into lemon cordial and rub smoothly to remove the stains. It stings a bit but very effective.
