Actually, to prevent the bubbles, you have to start long before applying the top coat! First, make sure the nails are very clean (i.e., no cuticle oil or mosturizer on the nail surface) -- use nail polish remover right before applying the base coat, but give it a minute or so to evaporate before the first coat. Allow adequate drying time between base, color and top coats (otherwise the volatile gases will form bubbles as they dry under each coat). Note that dark colors with more pigment take longer to dry -- so allow EXTRA time for your black or blood red colors :) Also, apply the thinnest coat possible for adequate coverage (this allows the gases to escape more easily). Clean nails, patience and thin coats should do the trick!

if using a quick dry spray hold at least a foot from hands when spraying, having it too close will form air bubbles
